Y: No, but I want to watch major leaguer. Also, I hope that Japan become top of the world. What do you want to watch the most?
K: I like soccer. So I want to watch the soccer game. Players of 23 years old or younger participate in Olympics soccer．Although Argentina is strong now, after 4 years I didn’t know where in the country has become stronger.
Y: It looks fun, too. I want to watch soccer game. In addition, do you know fencing?
K: No, I don’t. What kind of competition?
Y: Fencing is the game which two players poke each other. Japan has won a medal since 2008.
K: Then, we can be expect Tokyo Olympic!
Y: Speaking of which, it was held in Tokyo before 50 years ago. Did you know?
K: Yes, I did. But I didn’t know the details.
Y: Actually, Japan’s national team won a total of 16 gold medals at the Tokyo Olympic in 1964.
K: Wow! Great! I hope to take more gold medals.
Y: I think so.

A: I live in East Hyogo.

A: That makes sense. Himeji Castle is very beautiful. However there is not food like Akashi-yaki, is there?
B: Food ... food ... I have remembered! There is Ibonoito. Every Japanese summer needs Ibonoito.

Episode 063 - Famous Places to See in Europe
Y: Hello. My name is Yuki and this is Keita. This is KSU student Podcast. How are you?
K: I'm fine, but it is getting hotter and hotter.
Y: That's right. By the way, I’ve been interested in the European world heritage sites lately.
K: Sounds good!
Y: Are there some recommendations?
K: I have three recommended places. The first is the Mont Saint-Michel in France.
Y: Please explain it in detail.
K: OK! It is a small island floating on the Saint-Malo Bay, and there is a monastery towering on it. It is very famous around the world, and an average of 2,500,000 tourists come from all over the world every year.

Y: It is famous for being designed by Antoni Gaudi, the architect. Construction started in 1882, and continues even now that more than 100 years has passed. Completion has been aimed at the 2026 year to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Gaudi.
k: I'm surprised that it isn't finished construction yet. I'm looking forward to its completion.

S: Hi! So... Keisuke. What's up?
K: Nothing, and you?
S: I'm so-so.
K: By the way, where did you go last year?
S: I went to San Francisco.
K: Wow! That's cool! So... What did you use to go there?
S: I went to by the airplane.
K: Oh! You have the knowledge of airplane, right?
S: Yeah. Why?
K: Because I want to know about airplanes. Please tell me.
S: OK. So...do you know Da Vinci?
K: Yeah! I know! He was such a genius.
S: Well....Did you know he drew a plan for an airplane, too?
K: Really? I didn't know. You mean...he created the airplane?
S: No, just drew a plan. The plan was a secret until the 19 century. And, in the 19 century, Langley created a flying machine. It flew for about 1 minute.

S: No, he isn't. Actually he created a flying machine without a pilot. However, he couldn't create a flying machine with a pilot. So, he isn't famous.

S: It's the Wright brothers. Maybe you know their name.
K: I know them! But, I don't know their machine. What was it?
S: Simply put, it was like a glider, called the Wright Flyer.
K: Does the Wright Flyer exist even now?
S: Yes, it does. The place is National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C.
K: Well...and...how about the evolution of the airplane later?
S: Uh...airplanes have evolved with the World Wars.
K: Oh...that's irony. Can you tell me about it?
S: Of course. World War means life or death to Nations. So, Nations develop many stronger weapon than other countries.
K: Uh...For instance?
S: Airplanes. Around World War One, equipped machine guns and the max speed was 200 kilometers per hour. And in World War two, airplanes rapidly advanced. Airplanes equipped bombs and torpedoes. The max speed was more than 500 kilometers per hour.
K: I see. They were terrible as weapons. But they were evolved as airplanes.
S: Furthermore, Germany developed jet engines in 1942. Also famous airplanes were developed. For example, Zero, Grumman, Spitfire, and Messerschmitt.
K: Uh...Only German? Other countries didn't develop jet engines?
S: No, jet engines were developed all around the world. Even Japan did it. And now, we can board such an airplane.
K: I didn't know such a things. Well...I think they are great men. Because we can use the technology to search space now!
S: That' right. And pilotless aircraft is also useful.
K: You mean... uh...drone something?

A: Yes. This is the most famous movie in the world. By the way the date appear in the movie "A.D. 2015, October 21st" is still fresh in our minds. Do you know the "Back to the future" story?

A: I see. Marty and Doc appear in the movie. In 1985, they had to time travel to the past in 1955.

B: Yeah. By the way, speaking of autumn, I’ll recommend to you a nice spot.

B: Kiyomizudera is one of the most celebrated temples of Japan. It was founded in 780 on the site of the Otowa Waterfall, and gets its name from the fall's pure waters. The temple was added the list of UNESCO world heritage site.
A: I see. So why Kiyomizu in the fall?
B: Today I recommend that you should go to Kiyomizu in autumn because you can see every beautiful autumn leaves. Kiyomizudera is also best known for its wooden site that juts out from its main hall, 13 meters above the high side bellow. The stage affords visitors a nice view of the numerous maple trees below that erupt in a sea of color in autumn, as well as of the city of Kyoto in the distance.

A: My hometown is Niigata. Do you know where Niigata is?

B: Yes. Furthermore, you can't see one stone whereever you see.

B: Nobody knows.

A: Yes. This shrine worship him. He is very famous Onmyoji.

A: This place is Japanese powerspot.
There are two famous points.

The pentagram calls Seimei Kikyou.
Second, there is a stone obje form of peach.

Hiroto: I went there on a high school trip, too. There are still many memories. The best memory is the food. Okinawan food was good, but the food from my hometown is more delicious. What is the memory of your school trip?
Tomoshi: I went to Hawaii.
Hiroto: Where did you go in Hawaii?
Tomoshi: I went to Diamond Head, Alamoana shopping center, and Moanalua high school. And I went cruising. The view from Diamond Head was so beautiful. I took a lot of pictures there. Alamoana shopping center is very big and I bought some goods for my family and friends. Moanalua high school and my high school are sister schools. So we had a school visit to Moanalua high school and we did various things, for example, singing some songs, dancing together, making friends, and so on.
Hiroto: Wow, it’s wonderful. The foreign school trip is surprising. I haven’t been to a foreign country so far. I want to go to a foreign country. I was always in my hometown, Fukui, because Fukui is the best place. Fukui has a lot of nature, clean water, a gentle person. I recommend Fukui to everybody. If you come to Fukui, stay at my house. Is there a place that you want to go now?
Tomoshi: I’ll go to Fukui next week. So I want to know Fukui’s good place.
Hiroto: My hometown’s good place is the Dinosaur museum.
Tomoshi: Oh, I have never heard of it before. I didn’t think Fukui had any good places.
Hiroto: Be quiet. It is one of the most famous places in Japan.
Tomoshi: Uh, please explain it.
Hiroto: Fukui has a lot of dinosaur fossils, footprints, and so on.
Tomoshi: Wow, it’s great. I wasn’t interested at all.
Hiroto: Please tell me about your hometown.
Tomoshi: My hometown is Hiroshima. There are two heritage sites. They are “Genbaku dome” and “Itsukushimajinja”.
Hiroto: I have been there once. They had history.
Tomoshi: I’ll tell you about “Itsukushimajinja”. A fireworks display is held in summer. This is very beautiful.
Hiroto: Hiroshima is slightly far from Fukui. But I want to go to Hiroshima once again. Tell me the good place.
Tomoshi: If you go to Hiroshima this winter, I recommend Hiroshima Dreamination to you. This is an illumination show held on Peace Boulevard. It is very beautiful.
Hiroto: I understand it. I want to eat Hiroshima’s famous food.
Tomoshi: There is Okonomimura near Peace Boulevard. So you should go there after you see Hiroshima Dreamination.

Episode 052 - Great Places to Visit in Kyoto

B: Yes! Why?
A: My mother will come to my house this weekend and I want to take her to Kyoto's good spots.
B: I see..., then, how about Tainaimeguri at Kiyomizu temple?
A: What's that?
B: It's like a cave...and it's dark. You advance in the cave while holding onto the handrail. It feels like when you are in your mother's body. You can regain a pure heart.
A: Oh, it's interesting! I have been to Kiyomizu temple but I didn't know this.
B: Oh, I see. This is a good place but most of the tourists don't know about it.
A: I want to go there!
B: Umm..., next, how about Mikami shrine?
A: Mikami shrine? I don't know that place.

M:Anyway,where did you go in the summer vacation? I went
to Tokyo Disneyland! It was wonderful.
K:Oh, really? Iʼ’ve been there many times,I like it very much!
And I researching Disney Land now.
M:So,can you tell me about it? I want to know more!
First,when was it opened?
K:Tokyo Disney Land was April 15th in 1983, and Disney
Land in America was July 17th in 1955. Walt Disney is a
founder that create Micky Mouse. The name of that character
was Mortima at first,but Waltʼ’s wife recommend “Mickey
Mouse”,so Mickey Mouse was named.
M:I didnʼ’t know that. Itʼ’s very interesting. Iʼ’ve heard that
Mickey Mouse is qualified as a pilot,captain of a ship,a driver
and a fireman captain in Disney park.
K:I didnʼ’t know that. Mickey is a talented mouse! Mickey and
his girlfriend Minnieʼ’s birthday is on the same day.
M:I know,and my sisterʼ’s birthday is April 15th in1985. Itʼ’s
the day that Tokyo Disney Land was opened!
K:That sounds good! Oh,Disney Land in America has its 60th
anniversary now. I want to go there very much.
M:I think so,too. If I lived near there, I would be there every
weekend!
K:How about going there when we graduate from this
college?
M:Thatʼ’s a good idea! We have to save more money!

R: I want to go to an aquarium next year because I haven’t been there for a long time.

Chie: Do you know Hello Kitty?
Eri: Of course! She is very cute.
Chie: I think so too! Do your know hello Kitty's profile?
Eri: I'm not well-acquainted with her. Do you know it?
Chie: Yes. Hello Kitty was born on November first, nineteen-seventy four.
Eri: Wow! Is she forty one now?
Chie: Yes. She is older than she looks. And her height is five apples and her weight is three apples.
Eri: Really!? She is too small. I thought she was very big when I met her at UNIVERSAL STUDIOS JAPAN.
Chie: Oh…I thought five apples was big!
Eri: …I see. Do you know her favorite food?
Chie: Yes, I do. She likes the apple pie which is cooked by her mother.
Eri: I like it too! But I like cheese cake the best.
Chie: It's delicious! I like cookies. Her hobby is making cookies.
Eri: Oh! I want to eat her cookies someday.
Chie: Me too. Her other hobby is playing the piano and her dream is becoming a pianist.
Eri: Why?
Chie: Her parents presented grand piano to her in nineteen-eighty one.
Eri: Wow! It's great! I want to play the piano well. Is her most favorite subject music?
Chie: Yes. She likes music. But she has another favorite subject.
Eri: What?
Chie: She likes English too. She was born in England.
Eri: I am envious her.
Chie: Me too. Do you understand her profile?
Eri: Yes! Thank you. Next I will introduce her family. Her family has six members. Kitty, father, mother, grandfather, grandmother and her twin sisters, Mimmy.
Chie: Wow! It's big family!
Eri: Yes. Her father is nice. Her family trusts him. And her mother likes cooking, cleaning and washing. She is very kind.
Chie: My mother is the complete opposite.
Eri: Oh…me too. Her grandfather has a lot of knowledge and tells her interesting folk stories. Her grandmother is really good at making pudding and she likes sewing on rocking chair.
Chie: I want to hear her grandfather's folk story and eat her grandmother's pudding.
Eri: No kidding. Finally I will introduce Mimmy. Mimmy is shy in contrast to Kitty. She always wears yellow ribbon on her right ear.
Chie: Kitty always wears a red ribbon on her left ear. Is there any reason?
Eri: Yes, because no one can discriminate between the two.
Chie: Hmmm. I know well. Do you konw her boyfriend?
Eri: Of course. His name is Daniele. Daniel and Kitty grew up together. But he moved to South Africa for his father’s business.
Chie: Really!? What happened to the two people afterwards?
Eri: Daniele saw Kitty again and fell in love.
Chie: How romantic! I long for that.
Eri: Yes. Do you understand her family?
