K:  What kind of conveyor belt sushi?

KA: um.

T:  I would like to describe the charms and company from now.

KA: Please!

T:  OK! First, CHOJIRO is a rotation sushi chain store but it is increasing the price of one dish more than other rotating sushi chain stores.

KA: Expensive? I want more cheap shop!

K:  Ya, ya, ya. Would you like to hearing.

T:  The taste and services that can be had one also high!

K:  For example, what kind of service, is there?

T:  Well I explain it! At CHOJIRO, there are also sushi which are always on rotation, but customers can order anything.

KA: Not the same in order chain stores.

T:  Che, Che, Che! Now, the points to which it’s preferred from here! The difference between CHOJIRO and other cheap sushi shops is that all chefs can make by hand.

K:  Wow! Not machine!

T:  Yes! Because of the direction of craftsmen and the high quality you will say that the taste is not like other rotating sushi chain stores.

KA: Ya! Hoo! That’s great!

T:  The second feature is that the tea is made of tea pack.

K:  Um… What’s so great about it?

T:  Other cheap shops use powder tea. Using tea pack rather than powder tea is what sets CHOJIRO apart.

Episode 141: Japanese Culture Around the World

Hello my name is Minako. That is Kie.
This is KSU student's podcast. How are you?

Good, by the way, recently in my free time l have been watching animation at midnight.
That’s good. Please tell me about animation!!

Yes!! As for Japanese culture, animation is one of the representative things.
In the old days, speaking of the Japanese culture meant food, kimono, scenery, temple, religion....... But now, Japanese animation is recognized as one of the Japanese cultures.

Japanese animation was not accepted by the public in old days in Japan. Japanese people looked down on it as a geek's hobby.

In Japan, and in the world, the some of the most popular animation is Japanese. For example Dragon Ball, Doraemon and such.

Why did Japanese animation become so popular? I think there are three reasons. First, most of Japanese animation story is not for children. Second, it is very high quality. Third, there are many genres. It is a rich environment. These points get the heart of animation fans.

It's good!!  I like Doraemon!!

What do you do in your free time?
I like listening to music, I especially love Kyaryu Pamyu Pamyu.

Oh! Please tell me about!

Kyaryu Pamyu pamyu is a Japanese fashion model. She is known for her original fantastic style. She often changes her hair style and colors. She expanded the Japanese "kawaii" fashion around the world.

She is also a singer, and sings comical and cute songs.
Her first song is "pon pon pon", it's my favorite. I don't understand the lyrics, but it's exciting for me. And I think she has good taste.

She succeeded overseas. Many people all over the world like her fashion, songs, and her character. And people uses the word "kawaii."

I like Kyarry Pamyu Pamyu too! I know pompompom!! I think she is so cute, and cool!!
Thank you for listening to our podcast!!!!

Episode 140: Frightening Places Around KSU

A: Hello. My name is Mai and this is Hinano. This is KSU student podcast.

A: Hi, Hinano. What are you doing?

B: Hi, Mai. I’m collecting materials for a paper now. I must submit it by tomorrow, but it isn’t quite finished.

A: Oh, I’m sorry to hear that, but it’s time to leave school. I’ll walk with you part of the way.

B: I see…. Buy the way, I heard a frightening rumor about KSU. Do you know it?

A: Sure. It’s said that ghosts appear around KSU. They have been witnessed on the third floor of the dormitories at KSU in the middle of the night. So, that place is blockaded. Other than that, there’s this kind of story too. People who are psychic can’t reach the roof of KSU in the middle of the night. In the past, KSU was an execution place. Do you know “Hiragino-wakare”?

B: Yes, I know it. What about it?

A: In the old days, criminals said goodbye forever to their family there. There are a lot of such places in Kyoto.

B: Really? I didn’t know that. I’d like to hear more details.

A: Well…, do you know “Rokuro-cho”?

B: Yes,I do. This name is derived from the fact that the place had been filled with countless corpses in the old days, wasn’t it?

A: Yes. Because of that, that place is named “Dokuro-cho”.

B: Wow, I didn’t know it. Is there an origin of “Chiarai-cho”, too?

A: That’s right! There’s a pond there. In the old days, Minamoto no Yoshitsune was attacked by burglars, but he slayed them with his sword. After that, he washed away the blood on his sword in that pond.

B: Ohhh…. I began to feel afraid. Let’s go home soon!

A: Yeah…. Oh, please wait a minutes. Hi! What are you doing?

B: What’s away? Is there something the matter with you?

A: There’s a woman is squatting down on the corner.

B: There isn’t anyone there.

A: Hun? Oh, she disappeared!
