Episode 209: Should you change your image when you get to university?


Y: Hello. This is KSU students Podcast. This is Yuto.

K: And this is Kenta. We talk about “Changing personality image of university”.

Y: What do you think of it?

K: Ah…. For example, changing hair color, opening the earrings, removing the glasses and wearing a contact lenses, entering the music band although not knowing music and so on.

Y: Hum…. I agree with the last opinion. But I disagree with others.

K: Oh. What do you think of others?

Y: I think changing hair color and opening the earring are just a fashion. I dyed to brown color. 

K: Me too. Japanese often dye brown color.

Y: Removing the glasses and wearing a contact lenses are image changing.

K: Oh, I see. You agree with the last opinion, don’t you?

Y: Yes. For example, when someone who doesn’t know the music begins music band, he or she gets tired of playing a band. And they don’t continue to practice because they don’t interest in the music band. But some of them like it.

 

K: By the way, what is the merit of changing personality image of personality?

Y: Hum... it enables to make many friends. Bright person gathers many friends, doesn’t it?

K: I think so, too. I think they can find the new them.  Are there any merit point?

Y: They pay attention to many other people.

K: They can do increasing sociability and communication ability.

Y: Oh! I thought that, too.

K: Well then, what is the demerit of changing personality image of university?

Y: For example, they are hard to make smart friends. Are there other?

K: I think they are feeling gaps between the original of their own and their reality.  

Y: That’s right.

K: What do you think of this theme?

Y: It is better not to change personality because if they change their personality, their personality is finally back. In addition, they make trouble around because they have no common sense.

K: I see. So, what do everyone think of changing personality? What point is the merit or demerit?
